
The day I decide not to knead, I go with whole wheat thins. Those yummies can take different names: Thins, sandwiches, Lahm b'ajeen, Fatayer, meat pies, flat bread sandwiches, or Sfiha. All so good!!!!
Ingredients:
Flat bread
1 pound ground beef
1 chopped onion
1 cup chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp plain yoghurt
2 tbsp Tahini (sesame paste)
Salt
Black pepper
1/3 tsp red pepper
1 tbsp pomegranate sauce
1/3 cup roasted pine nuts
Olive oil
Preparations:
In 1 tbsp olive oil, roast pine nuts and set aside
In a saucepan, add 5 tbsp olive oil. Add onions, add ground beef. Add salt,black and red pepper. Cook on medium heat. Let cool
In a bowl, add the ground beef, pine nuts, tomatoes, pomegranate sauce, yoghurt, and tahini. Mix well
Prepare the grill
Prepare the bread
Spread the beef mix on one side. Cover with the other side of the bread
Brush with olive oil
Grill for 7 minutes
Serve with yoghurt on the side
