Color lovers, peace
My painting days are as therapeutic as my yoga days. I make my days count, I add saffron and turmeric to my treats just like I add paint to color my days.
* This recipe requires 4-6 hours farina soaking
Ingredients:
1 cup fine farina
2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tbsp turmeric
A pinch of saffron
2 tsp bicarbonate soda
1/4 cup tahini to coat the tray
Your choice of pine nuts, raisins, or almonds to add on top before baking
Preparation:
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add and mix wet ingredients. Cover bowl and soak farina for 4-6 hours
Heat oven to 375 degrees F
Coat tray with tahini
Pour mixture and bake for 45 minutes
