My country is witnessing a big revolution against oppression and dictator leaders. Lebanese all across the globe are expressing their anger through music,poems,dance, folkloric dabkeh, decorative food, and more. We are all gathering and rioting as ONE body one heart one voice each in his own creative way.
I have adopted this recipe from a friend of mine with slight changes. I love dates and that is why I have added more dates, less cookie crumble, walnuts and raisins and picked Lindt milk chocolate bar for this recipe.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup crumbled chocolate chip cookies
1 cup finely chopped dates
1/2 cup raisins
3/4 cup walnuts
1 milk chocolate bar 4.4 oz
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Preparation:
In a saucepan, add dates, milk, and chocolate pieces. Stir for 5-10 minutes on medium to low heat. Remove pan from heat. Add vanilla. Add raisins and walnuts. Pour mixture onto crumbled cookies. Mix all together.
Prepare a pan with parchment paper. Pour the mix. Refrigerate for 4 hours. Cut into desired shape
