My secret remedies for jet lag are exercise, drinking lots of water, and eating simple light meals. Reconnecting with family and tradition boost my energy level and makes me feel more active, dynamic, and full of life.
I will definitely miss Beirut, Byblos, and Tripoli but I will miss the good Lebanese food the most.
Ingredients:
1 Cauliflower cut into florets
6 lettuce leaves
2 radish
3 tomatoes
2 cucumbers
1 bunch of fresh mint
1 squeezed lemon juice
1 minced garlic
1/3 cup sesame/tahini paste
Salt
Black pepper
Olive oil
*Vegetable oil for frying (about 2 cups)
Preparation:
Cut the cauliflower into florets. Boil in hot water for 10 minutes. Place in a colander and then fry the florets.
Chop the salad and place in a salad bowl. Add the fried florets to the salad.
In a bowl, whisk the tahini paste with lemon juice, garlic, salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Add about 2 tbsp if paste is thick.
Pour the paste on the salad. Mix and enjoy
